Big Tablot Island Photography

One of my best friends from Pennsylvania was in town a couple of weeks ago and it was a great opportunity to take my husband and her to one of my favorite nature spots off of Hecksher Drive at Big Talbot Island.  My Jax Field Trip photography group likes to call it dead tree beach.  Ancient Oaks have plummeted to their deaths and now line the shores as a reminder because of erosion.  There’s something beautiful about it. Florida State Parks says it well, “this unique beach is famous for the salt washed skeletons of live oak and cedar trees that once grew near the shore.”
